As a group we believe that the ESLP is a project that benefits not just the environment but our knowledge of what has to be done to make a better environment. 

Our group built a bench to help the environment and that the original bench was very hazardous to the people and the environment. 

After we built the bench we learned to actully make a bench. Also we learned how to work as a good team and manage time. 

The effort we put in this project can help other humans know how to make a bench and manage time with large setbacks.

First day-

About

Mr. Bursch, assigned his students to complete a project benefiting the environment for the first semester of our freshman year. This project is known as the Ecology Service Learning Project, or ESLP for short. Our group chose to build a bench that will add seating for the school. We also decided not to paint the bench. The bench will be located in the WGHS quad in front of Ms. Disario's green room. Our project will be completed in December of 2016.

1. Decide on Building/Fixing a bench for WGHS quad (in front of Ms. Disario's class).
2. Create Blog.
3. Relocate bench from previous location to WGHS garden for maintenance.
4. Meet with group to plan dates to work.
5. Gather Supplies:

• Acquire from Mr. Bursch:
• Safety Goggles
• Saws 
• Wood
• Screws
• Drills
• Measuring Tape

6. Build the bench

7. Move bench back to WGHS quad (in front of Ms. Disario's class).

Timeline

Our group decided on an ESLP, we chose to build a bench.

11-14-16
We lost Hunter do to him moving and Scott quit our group. That day we aquired Marcus and chose to not build a bench but fix one that was already built.

11-15-16
Marcus, Anthony, and Brenden all went to the former spot of the bench, removed it, and brought it to the garden for working on. We also decided on a simple design.

Today we created our blog.

12-6-16
Today we decided in class to work on our bench Tuesday and Thursday.
Today we went to the garden after school and took apart the bench and sorted out what was good and what was not good.

11-8-16
Today we finalized how we were doing our bench. We then made measurements and marked boards to cut. We now have all boards cut and ready to be put together.

12-13-16
Today after school we began assembling our bench but ran out of materials. We will acquire the rest of our materials tomorrow and finish our bench and blog Thursday the 15 of December.

12-15-16
Today we got the screws we needed to complete the bench from Brendan's house. We drilled everything together and it is supported very well. Tomorrow we only need to paint and re drill one of the screws.
